Whoever you are, you have probably come to Housingnet looking for the best data on Housing Associations and Local Authorities, and you have come to the right place. You may well have been to the competition; the main one that springs to mind is the NHF, and been attracted by what they had to offer and are now asking yourself 'why choose Housingnet instead?
- We are independent, unfunded by and unaffiliated to any organisation that could have editorial influence over us or the data we have been collecting and refining since 1997.
- We update our data in real-time i.e. the data is constantly refreshed as the updates come in from the best possible sources. It is then displayed on our site immediately.
- All our data can also be easily exported from the site via the Export Panel or from any search results page if you are registered with us. All our export licenses last for a full year and there is no limit to the number of times or the amount of data that can be exported. The data can be simply downloaded to your desktop as a spreadsheet.
- We are a software company with an extensive background in Social Housing and have a vast amount of experience in building large scale database solutions. We are able to offer this service free to Local Authorities and RSLs. To enable this we have to charge a nominal fee for all other users.
- The collection, distribution and management of up to date information is our core business. We don't update our database twice a year or once a week. We update it constantly. This is why we call it 'real-time' updating.
- We don’t restrict ourselves to Social Housing Organizations in England and Wales. We cover the whole of the UK no matter how small or specialized.
- Organisations do not need to be registered with the Housing Corporation or any of the national bodies to be included on the Housingnet database, you just have to own or manage social housing. We set out to be all-inclusive, to build a true picture of Social Housing in the UK, not to be selective or to target one particular group.
